Crowther Associates Architects were appointed by Avtrade Ltd, a Sussex based aviation service contract company, to design and construct a new Global Headquarters development on the site of a redundant egg production farm in West Sussex. The new 90,000sq ft building, Phase 1 of a larger master plan, provides a new distribution and storage warehouse linked to a Logistics Centre office hub.
This building is designed to provide renewable energy as part of the overall sites total renewable commitment of 15% and incorporates CHP and natural ventilation strategies to achieve this high level of sustainability. Due to the rural location of this site the design looks to enhance the surrounding landscape with extensive new tree planting, wild flower meadows and attenuation ponds on the site.

The second phase headquarters office building in this development is also now completed and a further new warehouse is currently under construction.
