Downview Public House Conversion & New Build Flats.

As part of their strategy for providing temporary accommodation to alleviate the problems of homelessness in the area, Worthing Borough Council undertook a conversion of a former public house into 9 apartments, while retaining an employment use on the main road frontage.  The second phase, constructed to the rear of the building, is a timber framed, brick clad structure. Heating, lighting and ventilation are future proofed to meet intended government standards from 2026. When allied to the first phase, pub conversion, 17 new units for formerly homeless people will be provided on a site that was a pub with accommodation for one family.
